ALT-1 Easter 2010 Easter Basket Ideas for Teen Boys

From 3arf

When putting together an Easter basket for teen boys, you really need to quiz them about their likes and dislikes.  Of course, this should be done in a way as not  let them know you are putting together a special basket just for them.  Surprise is what you want to accomplish when your teenage boy gets his Easter basket.

Incorporate into the Easter basket things that are sweet and things he likes, as well as things he might need or will use.  Some teen boys, depending on the age, still like to have fun things or unusual items that might reflect their intellect, hobbies, or talents.

Ideas pertaining to fishing

So why not start with an aluminum pail and add a wild color to it with spray paint.  If it is fishing he is into, then add decals that pertain to fishing.  Stock it with fishing lures, a small tackle box, fishing hooks and bobbles.  Add some fish cleaning accessories and a collapsible  fishing pole.  Some of these items can be  placed in plastic Easter eggs and laid in among piles of grass.

Ideas for hunting

Decorate an Easter duffel bag with a hunting theme.  If your teen boy likes to hunt, give him a reloading kit.  Then show him how to reload his own ammunition or better yet, spend one or two days a month reloading or learning to reload together.  Supply him with other items he could use on the big hunt.  You will have him looking forward  for the coming  hunt with you.

Ideas for sports

When sports is on the mind of your teen boy, an Easter basket idea such as an old basketball or foot ball fills the bill.  Slit an opening  wide enough to place some Easter grass inside and place sports cards, a subscription of his favorite sport magazine, and tickets to an upcoming game.  This is sure to be a hit.  But do not stop there, add some Postal sporting stamps and a collector book to start him in the direction of stamp collecting.

Ideas for hobbies

Some teen boys like to collect or work on hobbies.  A magazine subscription for a hobbyist or collector might inspire him into action or a book about his hobby could be needed to help him pursue it further.  Know what he likes or think of things that he might like and fill his Easter basket.   Fill a plastic egg with tickets to a special sporting event, local museums and entertainment parks.  Tuck these inside plastic eggs along with the regular standbys.  These ideas are sure to be a pleasant surprise for any teen boy.The Easter egg itself is a symbol of life and so appropriate for this time of season when renewal of life is all around.  The Easter basket can be made up of fun items like books, games, toys, or just eggs and sweets, along with a card about what Easter is really about.
