Girls aren't so hard to buy for. They give clues in every store you go into and every time they see the TV or hear music on the radio, etc... My 10 year old daughter wants an MP3 player, top priority. Then there are the webkinz, you have to have at least as many as your best friend and after every ten you get exclusive beds for your pets that just can't be purchased with your webkinz $cash. I like these because they aren't too costly and my kids get practice using the computer and the site encourages learning in some of their games. Another great gift is a gift card that is just a Visa or American Express card with a preset amount on the card. My daughter got one of these for her birthday and thought it was cool that she had her own debit card she could spend anywhere. More cool tween gifts: Claire's gift cards or anything haircare oriented, computer games that plug directly into your computer, "Are you smarter than a 5th grader" game, more games for the Nintendo DS, and a new game called Apples to Apples.Just take your tween walking through Barnes and Nobles, Claire's, Target or the local mall and let them talk, they love to be heard and you'll learn a lot about what they like and don't like and maybe enjoy just being with them for a little one on one time.
