ALT-1 Can you really Make Money Online
Is it possible to make money online? You have probably seen some of those ads before, "Make $25-$75 an hour doing online surveys", "Get paid just to click on ads", "Make $5000 a day working 30 minutes", but do any of these programs REALLY work? The truth is, most of these sites are scams. However, there are some that are legitimate. You should ask the following 2 questions to see if it's legitimate.
1. Does it sound too good to be true?2. Do I have to pay?
If the answer to either of these questions is yes don't even sign-up. If they expect you to pay them so you can get paid either they are selling information about how to make money online or they are a flat out scam! What about if it sounds to good to be true? Then there is a 99% chance it is.
Well now that I have gotten the basics of whether it's a scam or not I want to tell you about the different types of sites that pay you and which ones aren't scams.
PTC (Paid to click):At one point I had been signed up to about 30 of these sites. Now I am slowly deleting my accounts. Why? This is not a good way to make money! (Unless you think it's fun to click on an site and stare at it for 30 seconds) I did some small calculations and you can make anywhere from $0.05 to a whopping $4.00 an hour. That's half the minimum wage where I live. Over and above that the sites only let you click a few ads a day and the high paying ones have outrageously high minimum payouts. Don't get me wrong these sites are awesome, if your an advertiser.
PTR (Paid to read):These go hand in hand with the PPC sites only instead of letting you click ads when you want on their site, they send them directly to your e-mail address. These ones you can make about the same as on the PPC sites.
PTW (Paid to write):This is what Helium.com is. A great site that pays you to write articles. Now this is a fun way to make money online. If you're any good at it, you make this into your everyday job and make crazy cash.
PTP (Paid to play):Alright now you probably thinking, "This is ridiculous, how do you expect me to believe that I can get paid to play games." It is hard to find sites that will literally pay you to play games, but it is possible. I mean a lot of sites CLAIM to pay you to play games but in reality, they are really some sort of skill game gambling site. I have only found a few sites, in my extensive searching, that are not gambling sites that will pay you to play games. Their's KerClinks, where you collect points and at the end of the month can convert those points to cash. Their is pogo.com and iwon.com where you collect points and convert those points into entries into draws for cash and prizes. Now the odds are slightly better than the lottery that you win something on either of these sites. With over 100,000 people playing each day and 3 or 4 items won each day that's about 1:30,000 odds of winning each day. That adds up to about 82 years of playing games every day before you win even 1 prize. (Scary!) You can of course play at these sites for fun not expecting to win anything. (Better than the frustration of playing again and again and not even getting a $5 amazon.com gift card!) So yes, you can win money/make money playing games but don't expect much.
PTS (Paid to Sign-up):These sites can actually get you a reasonable amount of cash. You sign-up to free offers and the site pays you after you prove you did it.
(Paid to do surveys):This is what got me interested in GPT (Get paid to) sites in the first place. These sites pay you to simply do surveys. Companies need your opinion about their products and are willing to pay for it. You can make anywhere from $1 - $10 to do a 20 minute survey on average. This is a way to make money that I personally find enjoyable.
Other ways to make money online. Scams?:I have told you all about get paid to sites now but still haven't mentioned sites that claim they have a secret to making money online. Most of these sites claim you can make a million dollars a week working 10 minutes a day or something ridiculous like that. This is not something you should NEVER try. They make tons of crazy statements trying to get you to pay them or the "secret to making money online". I personally think they have found the way to make a good income online doing virtually nothing. Think about it, they set up a site and automate it so they don't have to do anything and then wait for unsuspecting victims to come along and pay them $20 to receive a free e-book full of information they already know. That's how those people make money online. Word of advice, don't be a victim of these scams. Play it safe and go for a get paid to site if anything.
In conclusion you CAN make money online free. You probably won't make much but if you play it smart you can have a little extra money with the small price of your time.
