If you are intending to take your SUV or 4x4 off road, then you may want to look at increasing road clearance, if this is the case than perhaps a suspension or body lift kit may be what you need. If you intend to do a fair bit of wading through deep water in your Suv or 4x4 you may want to consider a snorkle or high air intake for your vehicle. This will avoid any danger of hydrolocking your engine which will mean an engine replacement. In addition the higher intake will provide cooler air to your engine therefore increasing efficiency. If you drive on a lot of sand then there is an attachment available to go on top of your high intake that will help to filter sand and fine grit before it reaches your standard air filter. this will mean that your air filter will not need replacing so often and your engine will again run more efficiently.
