ALT-14 Make Money Online

From 3arf

Can you really make money online? Of course you can.

Once you have the right tools, the right sites and a little knowledge, it's much easier than you think. I've been working full time at home for more than 6 years now and I'm happy to say my online income is higher than my salary was from my old day-job.

So if it's really that easy, why aren't more people doing it? The answer is simple. They simply don't have the right tools - yet.

Let's look at how you can begin to create a great income online today.

1. Multiple Incomes

There is no rule-book when it comes to earning money online. You're the boss and this is your online business. This means you should be actively seeking tasks that you enjoy as well as those you can profit from. There are two very valid reasons for this line of thinking.

The first is that by listening to what other 'gurus' tell you works, then you're only doing what they enjoy. You'll notice they all have little disclaimers that point out that you probably won't earn the same amount that they do. This is because they make their money by telling you what to do.

You're the person who will be doing these online jobs every day, so it's you who needs to be having fun or you'll get bored and wander off to do something different. Find tasks that you enjoy. Do some paid forum posting. Blog a little. Write articles. Create websites. Get some paid advertising going. Promote affiliate products. Find new ways to keep bringing money into your online business and then build on them.

The second reason is a little more complicated. You need to be sure you have more than one type of income coming into your online business at all times. This is because by working for one single company and deriving all your income from them, if they disappear, so does your income!

Business people know that the more types of income they can bring into their business, the more likely they'll stay in business. You should aim to set up your business the same way.

2. Types of Income

When it comes to finding types of income to bring into your online business, be creative and break it up a little. You might try mixing a little freelance writing with some affiliate marketing. Some paid blogging mixes well with a few blog ads. Paid surveys don't pay highly enough to quit your day job, but they make a great filler income for the end of your working day to bring those few extra dollars into your business. Revenue share sites simply won't make you a full time income, but they might be a handy source of extra passive income.

These income-mixes I've used as examples show that one form of income is dependent on you being active about doing something to earn that income. The second form of income is much more passive.

Passive means you do something once, like place some ads or write a few articles or promote some affiliate programs, and you could potentially keep earning from that work over and over again.

Create positive income-mixes for your online business and you'll be surprised how quickly all those little pieces really can add up.

3. Focus

One of the primary reasons online businesses fail is a lack of focus. People get excited by the next big fad or idea and they wander off in search of new ways to cash in on that one. The original idea they'd been working on was just one hurdle away from true success, but now it's been forgotten because of the new shiny idea.

There's nothing wrong with having more than one online business or multiple websites, but keep them separate to each other.

Focus also relates to discipline. Too many people finally get a chance to work at home earning income online, but they waste the opportunity by staring at the TV or playing computer games instead of working online.

If you want to work from home - then WORK.

4. Finding Online Work

So many people search for 'online jobs', as though they're expecting someone to hire them to perform tasks just like a regular job. An online business is not the same thing as an online job, even though you're creating your income from conducting online activities.

Finding online work is easier than most people think. All you need to do is follow the professionals - not the beginners. You see, by following advice from people who are only earning a few cents a week more than you, then all they're going to teach you is what you're already doing.

Following people who are seriously doing what you want to do will teach you how they did it, where they find work and how they built their online business. There are thousands of people who really do make great incomes online.

Will you be one of them?
