ALT-11 Mothers Day Gifts and Activities to Make Mom Feel Special
Mother's Day should be just that, . . . Mother's Day! Now it isn't always possible to be with your own Mother, . . . but Mother's are Mothers everywhere, and remember to at least give them that special wish on this day Happy Mother's Day!
But speaking from a "Mother" perspective, I would like to share some of the fantastic gifts that my young children have given me over the years, . . . which are that much more special than anything else could be that came from a store, . . . because these came from their hearts.
My eldest found pictures of all three, . . . and did a collage of them in a small, engraved picture frame. It says we love you on the top, and sits on my computer every day of every year. Although they grow, the meaning behind this frame is unforgettable, as are my threesome.
My talented and creative eldest again, led the way for the children to make a compact disc of my favourite songs. They furthermore did the disc case with crayons, drawing pictures with names and the caption of Mother's Day. Again, a very special and meaningful gift, that I can enjoy all the year through and for years to come!
And my personal favourite, is when my eldest took the younger two to a park and took digital pictures of all three. Then they took some holiday photos of all of us, . . . and took them all to the store and had a calendar made! I get to look at these thoughtful and caring children on my desk all year long and every time I see the calendar, I swell with pride.
There are so very many things to give your Mother, at any age! It could be the above with grandchildren in photos, or one of her hobbies, but a keepsake from the heart is worth its weight in gold, and didn't have to cost that! Because, . . . love is priceless, love is endless, love is life, and Mothers around the world did just that, . . . they gave us life!
So in turn on this very special day for the woman who has taken care of you, packed your lunches, did your laundry, been a soccer mom, bandaged your cuts, made sure that you were properly fed and clothed, and the list is endless, . . . give back to her on this day, . . . something that is very special from you. Give her, . . . another small part of you, because that is really and truly what Mother's want, . . . is to see the joy and love in their children's faces, the whole year through!
