2010 Bmw Z4
It goes without saying that BMW are a lucrative car marketing industry. Quality, durability, and style are all words associated within the world of this car manufacturer. However, the 2010 BMW Z4 can be described as all of these, plus you have the added factor of this vehicle being fun to drive. There are certain details you want to know about a roadster like this and fuel economy doesn't come in to the equation at all. When you think about buying a car of this style, you think speed, excitement, and in general a car worthy of the name BMW. The Z4 lives up to the companies high standards as an all round great ride, and driving this car is an experience of a lifetime.
There are two engine sizes available for purchase in the US, one being the 300-bhp twin-turbo Z4 sDrive35i. The other is the 255-bhp Z4 sDrive30i version of the 3.0-liter aluminum inline-6. In total there are three versions of the Z4, but the smaller 2.5-liter 23i is only available in the European market. The twin-turbo redlines to its potential of 7000 rpm with a touch of the accelerator and a roar of the engine. Although it is equipped with enough torque to give a thrilling ride, the Z4 will also willingly cruise at a smooth pace too. There is the option of using the paddle on the steering wheel for gear shifts, the standard gear stick, or you have the choice to use the fully automatic mode.
This 2010 roadster from BMW is of course stunning to look at, all the curves are in the right places as you would expect from a car of this type. Getting from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds is effortless for the Z4, and with a top speed of 106.7 seconds it out does a lot of vehicles in the same class. The Sport-Plus control mode makes the car even more exciting to drive, listening to the sound of the exhaust as the gears are shifted down lets you know you are in a quality car. One perhaps needless feature to the7-speed semi-automatic Z4 could be the fact that the driver inserts a key-like device on the dash, and has to press an on/off switch to start or stop the vehicle. The shift lever mounted on the console also proves to be awkward when you have to access a top button to engage Park, and a side button to unlock the lever for reverse or drive.
The hardtop has simple controls and is retracted in as quick as 20 seconds, with the wind in your hair you truly will have the sensation of speed and excitement. While going round sweeping corners at a reasonable speed the steering seems to need slight adjustments. It seems the car doesn't hold its full potential on the road in certain situations, but the small quirk is easily controlled and not a huge issue. In saying that, with the Dynamic Stability Control on you have a much smoother ride. The 2010 BMW Z4 has a starting price of $45, 750 and you can expect to pay $51, 650 for the twin-turbo model. If you are choosing upgrades, such as, the navigation package or the 7-speed semi-automatic transmission, then you will pay more for the extras.
