فرضية غايا
فرضية غايا عبارة عن فرضية بيئية تفترض أن الأجزاء الحية وغير الحية من الأرض تبدو كنظام متفاعل معقد يمكن أن يفكر فيه على أنه متعضية واحدة. تم تسمية هذه النظرية تيمنا بآلهة الأرض اليونانية غايا، تقوم الفرضية على التسليم بأن جميع الأشياء الحية لها تأثير تنظيمي على بيئة الأرض يدعم تشكل الحياة كظاهرة كلية.
